A beginner's guide to evaluation

This one day course on 29th February at the University of Birmingham will encourage you to think about why evaluation is important, and what it can tell you.
The day will cover important topics including:
- Why evaluate your STEM activity?
- How do you get started?
- How to engage your audiences in evaluation
- Creative ways to evaluate
- Where can you get help and support for your evaluation?
This highly interactive course, with exercises and discussion, will enable you to develop a draft evaluation strategy for your activity, and find out how to put it into practice.
Participants in the course will be provided with a course handbook, and the opportunity to participate in an online forum to share their experiences of developing an evaluation plan, and to ask questions.
The courses are open to anyone working in outreach, although priority will be given to those working in HE STEM outreach activities. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note places at the course are free but cancellation charges apply. Full joining instructions will be provided.
