Special Interest Groups
Within the original proposal to HEFCE, the National HE STEM Programme outlined the intention to develop a series of SIGs (Special Interest Groups)
Special Interest Groups were identified within the proposal document to ‘provide a level of co-ordination and communication across the HE sector, and also assist with the development of the National HE STEM Programme’. In addition, they were intended to support the dissemination of Programme activities, ensure external input from the wider STEM sector to inform the work of the Programme and avoid duplication, and provide co-ordination internal to the Programme across its areas of activity.
